Why Is NATURAL PROGESTERONE So Important?
As
you age, your hormone levels begin to drop and certain bodily functions
then become impaired. The resulting hormone imbalances can cause
Heart Disease, Osteoporsis, certain Cancers, as well as Skin Thickening
and Wrinkling, Sleep Dysfunction, Sexual Dysfunction and Brain Function
Impairment. In fact, most industrialized countries like the United
States have men and women with "Out-of-Balance" hormones.
According to Dr. John Lee, the foremost authority on Natural Hormone
Replacement with natural progesterone, the reason is that there
is an over-abundance of estrogen and estrogenic substances in the
food we eat and in our modern environment. "Estrogen Dominance,"
as it is sometimes referred to, is a problem in the U.S. Dr. John
Lee says that your body needs natural progesterone to counter-balance
the toxic effects of estrogen dominance.
The Effects of Estrogen Dominance
Harvard-trained Dr. John Lee reports on his own research as well as on research
from around the world, and the troubling effects of out-of-balance hormones due
to the lack of NATURAL PROGESTERONE in both men and women. These studies demonstrate
that PMS, Menopause Problems, Osteoporosis, Breast Cancer, Fibroids and Fibrocystic
Breasts have a direct correlation in women with estrogen dominance. Dr. John Lee
reports that all these issues are helped through the use of a good quality natural
progesterone cream.
How Much NATURAL PROGESTERONE Do I Need?
While everyone's needs are different, Dr. John Lee recommends approximately
20mg a day, or one-quarter teaspoon, of Natural Progesterone once or twice a day
depending on your symptoms. Complete instructions come with every order. Essentiel
Botanicals Progesta-Lieve Natural Body Creme with NATURAL PROGESTERONE comes in
a unique pump-style container that dispenses approximately 20mg. per pump.

Recommended Progesterone Cream Dosage
Usage depends on your current hormonal and menstrual status. The following
are general recommendations that should be confirmed or modified after consultation
with your medical health care provider. Salivary or Serum Hormonal Testing will
provide information on your current levels of progesterone and help you assess
the amount of natural progesterone that you need and the amount of Progesta-Lieve
to use.
It is suggested to rotate application each time between the face, neck, chest,
hands and inner arms.
Women In Their Reproductive Years - Still Ovulating.
In this case, women would normally take progesterone cream for PMS, painful
cramping with periods, menstrual irregularities, and to protect against osteoporosis
later in life. Begin using Progesta-Lieve after you have ovulated. Ovulation usually
occurs about 10 to 14 days after your menstruation begins. Count the first day
that menstrual flow begins as the Day 1. Apply once or twice a day as needed,
starting on the 12th day after the first day of menstrual flow thru the 26th day.
Women Who Are Perimenopausal(still menstruating with
menopausal symptoms and/or PMS but not ovulating).
Count the day that menstruation begins as the first day - Day 1 to 6, do not
use. Day 7 to 27, apply once every day.
If your menstrual cycle begins early, stop using while you are menstruating, count
the first day of menstrual flow as Day 1 of the cycle and begin the counting over
again.
Women Who Are Post Menopausal or Who Have Had Hysterectomies
(for prevention or reversal of Osteoporosis).
Choose a calendar day (e.g. the first day of the month) as day one. Day 1 -
25 apply once daily. Day 25 - 30 (or 31), stop using. It is suggested by Dr. Lee
that the body be given a rest and progesterone not be applied during this period.
Women With Severe Osteoporosis
Day 1 - 25 use one to two applications of progesterone cream per day. Day 25
- 30 (or 31), stop using. It is suggested by Dr. Lee that the body be given a
rest and progesterone not be applied during this period.
Important Note: It is strongly suggested that you consult with a Health Care
Practitioner to monitor your bone density while using the progesterone cream.
Dr. Lee recommends that a bone mineral density analysis be conducted annually
to monitor progress. Dr. Lee also notes that age has no effect at all on the effectiveness
of progesterone when used for Osteoporosis.
Do I Need a Break From Using the Progesterone Cream
Each Month?
Yes.
For menstruating women, it is important that the progesterone cream only be
used from the 12th to the 27th day, counting the day that menstruation starts
as the first day. The reason is that the body uses progesterone to hold the blood
lining in place during the last two weeks of the menstrual cycle. If the progesterone
cream is used out of sequence, it will interfere with the menstrual cycle.
For non-menstruating women, it is recommended by Dr. Lee that the progesterone
cream be used for three weeks and then one week off.
